Stacy McNeiland is one that pushes the limits of her office to greater heights. As the Executive Director for Community Outreach and Special Projects, Stacy McNeiland aims to extend the reach and scope of her office to even the impoverished communities in the area. She believes in making a strong positive impact to the community and uplifting the quality of education. She says that with encouragement and support, the youth can set their sights to higher education and realize that college can and is a reality.

In line with this, last August, Stacy McNeiland led the Community Outreach Program as they launched a “Back to School” campaign wherein students from all around Edmond where given school supplies and other school necessities. They received new back packs which were filled with school supplies. This was an effort that they hope will encourage children to go to school in the coming term. They were also given other school items like socks, t-shirts, Kleenex, a $15 gift card for Payless Shoes so the students can have a new pair of shoes for school. To complete their back to school needs, they were also given complimentary haircuts and grooming kits for both boys and girls.

Enrolment at the University of Oklahoma (UCO) rose by over 30% under Executive Director for Community Outreach and Special Projects Stacy McNeiland’s leadership. Her exceptional leadership skills and extensive experience in recruitment processes enabled her to launch successful recruitment campaigns, which contributed to the growth. Stacy McNeiland also led state-wide campaigns to increase the number of incoming enrollees.

Standing at the helm of her department since last year, she helped recruit 1,500 new members in the UCO’s Alumni Association in the last four years. The program Students Today, Alumni Forever and an Adult Orientation program helped achieve this goal. Stacy McNeiland designed the said programs herself.

Stacy McNeiland is a woman with extraordinary skills. She is considered an expert in the fields of organizational management and strategic planning and was even awarded by the student body as “UCO Administrative Leader of the Year” in 2006. She is definitely a major asset for the University of Central Oklahoma where she has been rendering her services for the past ten years.

Through Stacy McNeiland’s skills and vision, she has led the campaign that boosted the enrollee turnout of the University of Central Oklahoma to a record 52%. This is the first time such an event happened in a very long time. Also another first is Stacy McNeiland’s success in convincing 1,500 alumni to finally sign in for the institution’s alumni association. She called this campaign “Central Students Today, Alumni Forever.” With her organizational and management skills, she succeeded in making the most of the association’s funds which went to over $1 million dollars.

She is an excellent public relations person. She can recruit and convince people to join and enroll into the university. She also successfully organizes alumni events and manages other alumni associated affairs.

Public Relations has helped the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) see a major rise in its enrollment and alumni association over the past years. Behind their impressive PR campaigns is Stacy McNeiland, Executive Director for Outreach Programs and Special Projects. Having worked for UCO since 1995, Stacy McNeiland made good use of print, media, and
online campaigns to enlist more students and alumni members.

UCO has Stacy McNeiland to thank for a 32% increase in overall enrollment and an additional 1,500 members in the alumni association. Also a member of several other committees, she organized events such as Faculty Convocation, Homecoming, and Athletic events for alumni of the university.
